[ENDED] Great FIGURES of Sports

The main motive behind the exhibition of "Great FIGURES of Sports" is to show a small part of the sculpture collection of Estonian Sports and Olympic Museum, which is usually kept hidden from visitors and occasionally needs a bit of fresh air and temporary stardom. If you wonder are there any sculptures in our museum, then yes! Our smaller collections include an art collection - comprising paintings, sculptures, small-scale plastic works, and other forms of visual art.

The exhibition features portraits of ten well-known athletes, including materials such as plaster, bronze, granite, and chamotte, and various techniques ranging from bronze casting and patination to carving and shaping fire-resistant ceramic mass and plaster.

You can see Ants Antson's bronze portrait (by Aleksander Kaasik), Joann Lõssov's (by August Vomm), Kristjan Palusalu's (by Vambola Mets), Aavo Pikkuus's (by Aime Jürjo), and several other sculptures.

NB! The exhibition is open until June 16.
