[COMING SOON] Heating Finish Line. Sport in a Changing Climate

Have you ever wondered what happens to the massive sports venues built for the Olympic Games? Could the cardboard beds at the Paris 2024 Games point the way toward more sustainable sports? Which sports are already feeling the effects of climate change, and how do our everyday choices shape the future of sport?

Come and explore the new insightful exhibition on sports and the Environment "Heating Finish Line. Sport in a Changing Climate” at the Estonian Sports and Olympic Museum. It takes a critical look at the world of sports and invites you to consider how we can make sports that put less strain on the environment and are as sustainable as possible for both people and nature.

In addition to fascinating discoveries, you can get hands-on with a variety of activities:

  • Generate your own energy at Tamme Stadium and see how the football field comes alive

  • Explore sports equipment

  • Smell and listen to exciting sports stories

  • Discover how plus and minus play a role in sports

Starting in October, the exhibition will also be accessible with a easy-to-read booklet.

The exhibition was created in collaboration with the Environmental Investment Centre and the City of Tartu.

Visitors can also enjoy the permanent exhibition “The Story of Estonian Sport” and other engaging displays at the largest sports museum in the Baltics.
